90% of the hacking process involves the Reconnaissance Phase

Hacking can be summarized with one word, but the process behind it involves several phases to reach the final outcome which is a ‘Successful Attack’.

These Phases are a bit more complicated than just the word itself.

Traditionally Hacking involves phases starting from Recon, Scanning, Gaining Access, Maintaining Access & Clearing Tracks.

What we are emphasizing is that the ‘Recon Phase’ is the most important of those phases, and requires 90% of the overall attack process.

For example, Social Engineering is a crucial part of the Recon process and can be combined to deliver a brutal targeted attack, often resulting in a 100% success rate against any organization.

What makes a stronger Recon when it comes to successful attacks is the ability to spend time using and learning the correct OSINT Tools or developing your own.

Then by finding what devices, services and people to go after, construct an attack that involves advanced techniques for the best possible outcome.

Without Recon there is lower Success Rate in Attacks when it comes to Offensive Security.
