Reddit Suffers Cyberattack
Reddit, one of the world’s largest online communities, has fallen victim to a cyberattack.
On Sunday evening, the site was targeted by hackers who managed to access its internal business systems and steal internal documents and source code.

Phishing Lure Targets Reddit Employees
According to Reddit, the hackers used a phishing lure to target its employees. The phishing lure included a landing page that impersonated Reddit’s intranet site, attempting to steal employees’ credentials and two-factor authentication tokens.
Unfortunately, the phishing attack was successful, and one employee fell victim to the attack. This allowed the threat actor to breach Reddit’s internal systems and steal data and source code.

Limited Contact Information Stolen in Reddit Hack
After investigating the incident, Reddit has confirmed that the stolen data includes limited contact information for company contacts and current and former employees, as well as some details about the company’s advertisers.
However, the company assured that no credit card information, passwords, or ad performance was accessed.
